Try the Pie Tool (shapes)

Break the curve at these points and delete the line.

Select the node tool, and select both nodes and the points I've indicated, then click on break curve on the node tool contact menu, you should end up with a line and a semi circle. Oh you may have to convert the semi circle shape to curves first.

remove horizontal line.afdesign Saved with history so you can jog back and forth in the history panel to see the process.

Is there a replace shape button?

No, but make a request for that feature.

There is a workaround by using symbols, so just replacing the shape in a symbol can replace all shapes of that symbols instances.

Ölkuchen ist als Hinweis zu groß  :D

Wahrscheinlich. -  In Deutsch steht da stattdessen wie die optische Form aussieht, also Ring für Donut, oder Torte für Pie etc. - Man hätte das auch "Kringel" nennen können.
