Carel Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 In spite of all the paper sizes and presets for the printer, nearly all the previews are red, but for some paper sizes. I have to look at he PDF previews to see the real colours. But these arways with border. I don't dare to print from the print preview, for in that case my red ink tank is perhaps immediately empty. And printing from the PDF preview means always a size with border. Who knows why the print preview is so often red coloured? Kind regards Carel Quote
firstdefence Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 The red overlay is a warning that there are parts outside the print area, if you print regardless the print will not have a red cast to it, you can try fitting the artwork to the paper or scaling it down until the red overlay disappears. There may also be a bug, in the 1.7.3 Windows Affinity applications, that shows the red overlay even when the image will fit. I'm unsure which OS @Carel uses. firstdefence 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. Carel Posted January 23, 2020 Author Posted January 23, 2020 My OS is Mac OS Catalina, so it shoudn't be a bug. I always resize my document to the paper size I want to use or crop it to to that size. Because the paper sizes always are in centimeters or inches and resizing often means a little deviaton of the paper size I have to resize the document to a smaller size. How can I prevent that deviation. Just gambling or trial and error? Quote
