Is export to any sort of eBook coming?

Recommended Posts

Hi HarryMcGovern :)

We don't have any immediate plans for eBook/ePub export, but this has been highly requested on our forums and is certainly something we hope to add in a future version.

In the meantime, I'll move this thread to the Feedback section of our forums!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

What kind of answer is that?

Which future do you mean?

Perhaps the Neverland future?

I think it is an absolute disgrace that Affinity Publisher does not already have an eBook option/export. I bought it especially for this purpose. And the answer “…in the future…” is equally a disgrace. Useless answer altogether.

But in some ways, I am not surprised.

The company Serif, now known as Affinity, has a history of letting its customers (the buyers of software) down really badly.

Nowhere in the Publisher information does it say anything about an export to eBook feature.

And it takes about a minute to search this forum and confirm it is not yet supported.

Now your very first post is a rant ... at Affinity/Serif.

You want to yell at somebody who screwed-up ... look in the mirror.

The company is still Serif.

Affinity is a product line that they produce.

An honest and realistic one.

Without verifying that it had this capability?  Not everyone who publishes does so electronically, in spite of the fact that it is becoming more common to do so.  PDF is supported for those who need it, and there are tools to convert PDFs to various types of eBook formats.

You could have read the product description on the website, which describes the output formats.

You could have tried the 10-day free trial.

If you purchased directly from Serif, within the last 14 days, you can still get your money back. Email affinityreturns@serif.com to initiate that process.
