Issue with colour picker when using gradient map

Recommended Posts

I'm currently using Affinity Photo on the 10 Day Trial and found the Youtube Video about selecting colours from any photo to map onto a different image to colour grade it. The first problem comes when I try to alter the swatch to three colours instead of five - Affinity just shuts down. If I leave it at five, then use a gradient map on my image, the colour picker doesn't work. I click on red for the shadows, click on the colour picker - and nothing happens. I am using a MAC. Any ideas?

Don't just Click, Click - hold - and drag the cursor over any area you want to select a color from.

There appears to be several reports of this happening but none appear to have solid "that fixed it" solutions.

Have you tried using the 1.8.0 beta version to see if the same thing happens? The beta version installs alongside the retail version currently 1.7.3 and will not affect it.

Also which OS X are you on?
