Text in an independent panel using a text style that has "Align to Baseline Grid" selected but does not align to the baseline. The text frame panel has "Use baseline grid" not selectable. How do I fix this?

OK found yet another override in the Text Frame panel. "Ignore Baseline Grid" in the top panel.

I must say it's annoying to have to search for all these override options Why do we have "Ignore Baseline Grid" as well as "Use Baseline Grid"? Surely one would do.

The "Use Baseline Grid" option is rather a general setting, it works for the entire document. Whereas "Ignore Baseline Grid" additionally enables you to exclude detailed, particular text frames from using the grid while all others still use it.

Note another possibly unexpected behavior:  The "Baseline Grid Manager..." enables you to activate "Show Baseline Grid" without getting it displayed. It just doesn't work unless having "Use Baseline Grid" ticked. Also you can activate the grid without showing it.

It is also possible to apply an independent baseline grid to a text frame which overrides the document baseline grid. If you have Use Baseline Grid switched on and the text isn’t aligning with the document baseline grid, check whether the text frame has it’s own baseline grid, in the Text Frame Panel. (This can be tricky to spot if you don’t know about it.)
The Ignore Baseline Grid setting ignores all of the baseline grids (document and independant) that might apply to that text frame.
