quaSimba Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Hi there, I stumbled upon this strange behaviour: My table of content includes one more number at the end than there are included headings. I made sure that there are no further headings later (in other hidden text boxes etc.). Has someone an explanation for this? Can you attach the file so I can have a look at it and see whether I can offer any explanation. MikeW Posted January 17, 2020 Posted January 17, 2020 Try this. Make sure that last empty paragraph is not using the text style the toc is set to use. Quote

Disable Numbered List from the top bar. Let me know whether it works for you. But I managed to pinpoint it: When I iclude a TOC, it doesn't import the numbers from the list of the headings. So I had to make a new numbered list for all the TOC paragraph styles. That style is also applied to the last paragraph in the TOC. I don't know why Publisher adds an empty paragraph at the end of the TOC in the first place. Is there a possibility to extend the scope of the TOC also to the numbers before each heading? Quote Windows 10 Pro x64 – Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2 3.30 GHz – NVIDIA GTX 760

I didn't want to complicate the matters in my earlier post (I noticed it as well) but there seems to be a problem with this in Publisher. I would advise you to report this strange behaviour in the Affinity Publisher Bugs section.
