Staff MEB Posted July 13, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 13, 2015 There's no need to register it. You bought it trough the Mac App Store using your unique Apple ID. Apple sent you the receipt via e-mail. That's enough to validate your purchase. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
ellilloyd
Can you add it to another machine without having to pay twice?
Staff MEB Posted July 13, 2015 Staff Share Posted July 13, 2015 Hi ellilloyd, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) Yes, just make sure you are using the same Apple ID to sign-in in the App Store app in both machines. tonyel
Hi, if I don;t need to register Affinity Photo, how do I sign in to the Affinity web page that asks for your email & Password?
Staff MEB Posted February 24, 2020 Staff Share Posted February 24, 2020 Hi tonyel, Welcome to Affinity Forums If you have bought our apps through the Mac App Store you don't need to have an account in the Affinity Store webpage unless you want to buy the Affinity Workbooks or some assets we sold there - macros, brushes, templates etc - the applications sold in our Store are the same as the Mac App Store but activated with a product key which isn't necessary for the Mac App Store versions - they are automatically associated/validated with your Apple ID. The first time you buy something from the Affinity Store a new account will be created for you. It may also be necessary to create one to download some free goodies we offer when the apps are updated - we usually provide a link to those goodies from the Welcome Screen within the application which you can follow to create an account and download the goodies. Nata
I purchased the Mac versions of Affinity photo and Designer, but I've since switched to a Windows machine. Is the license cross-platform, or am I forced to buy the Windows version of the software even though I already own it for mac?

No, the licenses are not cross-platform. Each platform (Windows, MacOS, iPad) requires a separate license, and therefore if you've switched to Windows you will need to purchase a new license for each application.
