AP 1.7 & 1.8 beta crash on performing Macro action

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Affinity Photo 1.7.3 or 1.8 beta crash (freeze) when (see attached picture):

- A pixel layer within a Group is selected, the Group layer is not visible.
- The Macro recording is started and with Ctrl+Alt+click on pixel layer AP freezes.

When the Group is visible -> AP doesn't freeze and produces the Assistant message "Cannot record Selection from Layer".

When the action is performed without Macro recording started AP works correctly.

Kind regards

Yes, I can reproduce it (make sure the group layer in the Layers panel is unticked, then do the macro steps)

I don't have video but if you want to record one I will have a look to see if I can see what (if anything) you are doing different to me and why you can't recreate it.

Just need to see the full Layers panel (with expanded groups) and the macro panel
