Paragraph, Character and Group Text Styles cannot be created nor edited. This is going to have to be fixed before I can do any other bug testing, it is essentially useless for working.

I just tried it, and indeed, the first quick test I made resulted in the colorful spinning beachball of death (still spinning even as I type this). All I did was create a new paragraph style, give it the name "New style" and saved it. I did not even apply it to text.

I can't reproduce that on my system.

Would you mind sharing with me set by step instructions that makes Publisher crash for you?

Make a new document, open a previous document. Try to make or edit a new or existing text style. Doesn't seem to matter if there is text present or not. This is with the latest (and the previous) beta from today, [531]. Mac OS10.14.6

This seems to be working for me no problem.

Well this is interesting, I tried on the 10.12.6 machine and while it did crash the crash reporter didn't show up, but it did generate a report

Yes, got the crash also trying to create a new style. Happened after clicking the "Save/Create" button.

We have this logged, we have had reports of this for a while but oddly enough myself and PaulS have recently started being able to reproduce it.

We are looking into why this is happening on some set ups and not others, unfortunately the developers are still struggling to reproduce it on their machines but we have atleast seen it happen internally now!

Out of curiosity, those of you who can reproduce this, do you also get the same issue on 1.7.3?

It happens to me too. In compact and in separated mode. Only in the beta. Not retail.

No. I use 1.7.3 fairly regularly, and editing styles is a major part of my workflow, yet I have never seen the app hang or crash (that I can recall) when editing styles. It did hang for me in beta 531. I also am using macOS 10.14.6 like Old Bruce.
