Hi Christiena,

Welcome to the forums :)

I recommend checking out the below post from one of our developers, Mark.

I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Thank you, Dan. That does help. There's still breathing room for me to learn about and decide on which options for running this software will work best for me.

I was looking into dual boot (I'm a greying newb) and then started learning about virtual machines. Beginner question - will this software run on a virtual machine? Being able to test options will help me to decide whether to get another computer with Windows 10 or make the move to Mac. This has the makings of a very interesting learning curve...

No problem at all :)

The app can technically run on a virtual machine and we occasionally use this process for testing - however we certainly don't recommend running the apps in this environment as it can lead to issues we haven't specifically tested for etc.

If you're using a virtual machine to simply gauge the OS etc with a trial of the app, I see no reason why this shouldn't work, but please note that performance will not be representative in a virtual machine compared to a physical system.

I recommend (if possible) visiting an Apple Store if you'd like to fully test Mac OS, as most display machines have our apps installed - although this can't be guaranteed!
