catlover
The ruler division that shows when at zoomed-to-fit level is at 2cm intervals, even when grid is set to 1cm square in grid manager, with or without 1mm divisions. This makes it very difficult to exactly place a guide at 1cm intervals when grid is not showing and/or snapping is off. Only when zooming in the finer ruler divisions become visible. Old Bruce
Try using the guides manager if you have to accurately place guides. It will be far easier. Staff Sean P Posted January 15, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 15, 2020 Hi Catlover, This is not a bug and is 'By Design' and stops overcrowding the ruler when zoomed out. You do get a pop up showing the actual position of the guide when dragging it, so the text on the ruler (I personally find) isn't really needed when placing them. Unless you are snapping them to a grid, then manually dragging them won't be wholly accurate, so you would be better using Guides Manager to place them like Old Bruce mentions. catlover
I guess it's a matter of taste, then. I prefer to have a global "close as you can get" overview in first instance and if and when necessary zoom in further. Best, C.L.
