Hunnicutt
I'm putting together a booklet that is 4.25" wide and 5.5" tall. Ideally, I would like to arrange two booklet spreads per page so that I would only have to rely on a putting everything on 8 1/2" x 11" paper. I had two methods to lay this out in Affinity Publisher, but I'm running into issues with both. 1) I thought that I could create a single master and then arrange 2 per page in the export. In the print function, I have the ability to create a booklet, which is perfect, but I can't find a way to do a 2-up print. Is that possible with Publisher? 2) When I ran into the problem above, I thought that I could arrange everything how I wanted on a single 8 1/2" x 11" master. The issue here was page numbering. I have multiple booklet pages on a single sheet, and yet, because they are technically on the same page, the page numbers are duplicated. Is there a way to have multiple booklet pages on a master and have the page numbering to work correctly? Thanks
Staff Callum Posted January 14, 2020 Staff Share Posted January 14, 2020 Hi Hunnicutt, Welcome to the forums I will answer your questions in the order they were asked. 1. If you set the model dropdown to N-up you should be able to layout the booklet the way you have asked using the settings that appear. 2. Unfortunately I don't think this is possible as it will only apply the page numbers to each page in the pages panel if you have designed your document so that multiple pages fit on one page it will just count that all as one page. You would have to number the pages manually by hand. Thanks C Hunnicutt 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. Hunnicutt
Thanks for the tip! I'll try that out when I can look back at my project.
Fixx
Why don't you just design the booklet as normal facing pages publication and let printer do the imposition. If you do the printing yourself your printer (the machine) should have booklet option available, or you can use some cheap "imposition" software like Create Booklet 2.
