Gimp is best when wanting to get the correct color out of my printer but Affinity offers an easier platform to design with. I am using the program for DTG printing and I was wondering if anyone can lend me some advice so that I don't have to use gimp and continue to use my beloved Affinity designer. walt.farrell Posted January 13, 2020 Share Posted January 13, 2020 Thanks. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by calling it a CMYK printer. Yes, it uses CMYK inks, as (I think) all home printers do. But as far as I know the printer driver expects to get RGB data, and so your documents (whether in Affinity or GIMP) should be RGB documents not CMYK documents. Click the Start button, then type Color Management (or possibly Colour Management if your PC is set to UK English). The dialog that comes up lets you specify the monitor ICC profile. Take a screenshot and show us what it says now, and we can try to provide more information.
