Malti45 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 I wonder if someone could tell me how to create the size 45mm H x 35mm W for UK passport photos. Then print them. I need to know for the Windows version and the IPad version. I am pretty much a beginner in Affinity Photo. Quote
Staff Lee D Posted January 13, 2020 Staff Posted January 13, 2020 Once you have your photo sized correctly within the app (45mm X 35mm) use File > Print. On the Layout section, change the Model to N-Up and then set the Across and Down as required or something similar to the attached screenshot (based on A4 paper). The iPad versions of Affinity uses the print interface built into iPadOS and it's very limited, I'd recommend exporting your image from Photo as the correct size. The most new wifi printers will have an iPadOS app available, use this to load your image and it should provide a lot more printer options. Malti45 1 Quote

Malti45 Posted January 13, 2020 Author Posted January 13, 2020 That seems to be not worth having Affinity Photo. It would be just as easy to go to a Photo booth for professional photograph to be printed. Quote

If your only purpose in acquiring Affinity Photo is to print Passport Photos then I would have to agree with you. Is that really the only use you would make of this extremely comprehensive (and growing in comprehension) application? Jeff Quote Win 11 Pro, intel i7 14700, NVidia GTX 4060, 32G RAM, intel UHD 770. Long-time user of Serif products, chiefly PagePlus and PhotoPlus, but also WebPlus, CraftArtistProfessional and DrawPlus. Delighted to be using Affinity Designer, Photo, and now Publisher, version 1 and now version 2. iPad Pro (12.9") (iOS 18.2) running Affinity Photo and Designer version 1 and all three version 2 apps.
Andy Thomas Posted June 25, 2020 Posted June 25, 2020 Just create a custom template with whatever dimensions are required. Easy. The print onto photo quality paper. Affinity rocks my world more than Potoshop. Quote
