text at paths

Hello, I've placed some text at a path created by the pen tool.

Against all manuals I've read, the path line didn't disappear after typing the text.

Any idea about my mistake?

The path is still there but it should not have a stroke applied to it. If you deselect the path is it still visible?

The path line disappears in Designer but not in Publisher.

If using Publisher use the Text Frame panel to remove the stroke

1. First create the path with the pen tool.
2. Before choosing text to path, 1st turn off the stroke or turn it down to 0 (Stroke = 0).
3. Then, click on the layer that the path "created with the pen tool"  is on.
4. Now with the Artistic text tool, place it on the path, then start typing.

Note: In Publisher, before text to path can work with the path being invisible, the stroke must be off or set to 0 in thickness.
