Jörg Thiemer Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Hello, I've placed some text at a path created by the pen tool. Against all manuals I've read, the path line didn't disappear after typing the text. Any idea about my mistake? Thank you Quote
Old Bruce Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 The path is still there but it should not have a stroke applied to it. If you deselect the path is it still visible? Here is a path selected and one not selected. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.5 | Affinity Photo 2.5.5 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.5 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

mpowell Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 First create the path with the pen tool. Before choosing text to path, 1st turn off the stroke or turn it down to 0 (Stroke = 0). Then, click on the layer that the path "created with the pen tool" is on. Now with the Artistic text tool, place it on the path, then start typing. Note: In Publisher, before text to path can work with the path being invisible, the stroke must be off or set to 0 in thickness. Quote
Jörg Thiemer Posted January 12, 2020 Author Posted January 12, 2020 Thank you for the detailed explanation mpowell 1 Quote
