Exporting edited photo on iPad

I’m having a terrible time finding my photos after they’ve been exported; I could swear that until a few days ago doing a save put them at the end of “all photos,” but now they just seem to disappear into the ether. I just watched James Ritson’s “Exporting Affinity Photo for iPad” tutorial where he shows how one can move an application such as Photos from the bottom of the screen then drag and drop the jpeg icon into it. I thought this was my answer since It allowed me not only to put a picture in “all photos,” but in a specific album. When I tried this procedure, however, and looked at the result, the picture saved was the unedited original, and not the one I edited. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?

You did not mention export->share which is how you share your work from Affinity to Photos app.
