Hi

I have been trying to put a face into a cartoon head as shown in the image below .. I have watched numerous tutorials but cannot get his face into the helmet so its blended and looks good, how I do this and also so I can put other faces into cartoons.

please help

A quick and dirty way would be to put the image layer to the bottom, lower the opacity of the cartoon layer until you can just see the photo then erase around it on the cartoon layer in the areas you want to show through. then bring the opacity back up

Or... try changing the blend mode of the Face layer, or dropping the face layer opacity to let the space bubble show through a bit.

Another way would be to add reflections over the face layer using curves and then adding gradients using the Gradient tool with the opacity set to 0% on a colour.
