1069585965_FileOpenAP1.7.3_481.thumb.jpg.ecf1f5a277a91585e0e66565d2b2b2e6.jpgHi!

When I call up the "File -> Open" command in AP, the files .jpg and .tiff are displayed with thumbnails in the relevant folder. Just an icon for psd files. I would also like to see thumbnails at psd.

This is not a bug, but a feature request. Photoshop PS6 / Windows 10 won't show thumbnails also. But there is a thumbnail AP could extract, because XnView MP shows the thumbnails.

Windows 10. Both are PSD files, one made in Affinity Photo (left), one made in Photoshop (right)...

I use the inexpensive FastPictureViewer Codec.

Hello all three!
Thank you for your answers. But Serif always says we're not the same as PS. ;-) So why can't they display the thumbnails in AP? and secondly: I use XnView as a viewer and there I see everything I need. But even not in AP.

It does...if there is a preview handler or the codec I mentioned:

Microsoft asked--requested--that Adobe not supply a preview handler years and years ago. Microsoft themselves, at that time, supplied one directly in an add-on pack. Then they stopped supplying it and Adobe never stepped in and supplied it. Been that way for at least a decade.
