kalypso1984 Posted January 3, 2020 Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) So this is a simple question however it is annoying that there is no effective way to do this easily: I am about to work on a painting project and complete a design that I've already blocked out in a vector program. ( quite frankly I've been using illustrator but I can't keep paying for the creative suite every month: i simply don't make enough money...) So my question is this: I am using the Layer Masks a lot just to isolate different surfaces that I want to paint: Hence I notice that when I use CTRL-CLICK on a layer WITH THE EFFECTS ACTIVE: It selects the object in that layer and the Effect - such as a glow in this instance... (aaa3.png) This could be a real problem when I only want to select the object within the layer I am using (ctrl-click).. and NOT THE EFFECT AROUND IT. Photoshop only selects the object; and ignores the layer effect... the task here is not to manually deselect layer styles just to crt-click and select a layers object. (aaa2.png) Furthermore: there is no way to Toggle effects of an object with just one button... I don't want to open the FX panel and toggle click each style that is active one after the other: it would be more effective to just hide them all.. make my layer selection and then show them again later when want to see the FX for that layers objects.... I'm really just trying to find efficient ways to complete my projects... If you understand my complaint and you can furnish an answer let me know... Im keeping an eye on my email. Peace and Love friends.. Edited January 3, 2020 by kalypso1984 typo Quote

kalypso1984 Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Hey thanks I got... That was in fact easy: for the life of me I can't merge nodes now.. This shape is really 4 shapes: but I just want to build and merge individual vectors... Also there's really no point in not using symmetry to line and join my curves: Hence I DO need to connect two separate curves... Quote
