I think it would probably be simplest (but still very tedious & error prone) to select & lock all those vertical lines & then use the Pen Tool in polygon mode & snapping to draw a new pair of lines with a sharp node snapped to each of the top nodes of the now locked curves, & repeat that for a new line snapped to each of the bottom nodes. (I am assuming that all the existing vertical curves are straight ones with exactly two sharp nodes, one at each end, but if that is not the case this may not work as well as expected.)
