MarkJ Posted January 2, 2020 Posted January 2, 2020 Why oh why does the Resize Canvas tool default to constrained and anchored top-left? As this article says, 99% of people use the Resize Canvas tool unconstrained and achored center 99% of the time. Pleeease change the default... or even better, remember the settings from last time... but just changing the default from the 0.01% use case to the 99% use case would save me my world of pain. It'll take your developers 5 minutes. Seriously. And think about it, Affinity Photo users are wasting countless hours, a few seconds at a time, working around this incorrect default, and some people, including the writer of the above article, are spending many hours crafting automations and writing blog posts about it, and I, myself, have already spent far too long contacting you about it and being told that I'm not allowed to contact you directly, I have to post here instead... all this waste of human potential could be averted by 5 minutes' work from your developers. medwds Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 +1 for this. It's a really odd default. I actually mentioned it to the Serif reps at The Photography Show in 2018. Quote
knb Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Definitely. Little usability things like this are a real drag and my main gripe as a relatively new user to Affinity Photo Quote
