OPEN using search criteria, inoperative - 1.8.0.526

For me, using the search box gives a list of search results immediately below that box. To refresh the list in the window, put the search term in the "File name" box and press enter.

That's standard Windows processing, as far as I know, and works the same in other applications I use.

OK more clarity.

1. IF I enter my *.jpg  top right and lower right files has (All raster files..) it works

2. IF I enter my *.jpg top right and lower right has (All Documents..) it doesn't

To clarify this is in BETA, in live the 2 cases as entered above BOTH work...

?

Thanks for the clarification.

I can confirm that I see that same behavior.

When this is a bug in Windows, why does it work with the latest live (= stable?) version?

OK

This is actually a bug in Windows that we have reported to Microsoft (but as yet, no resolution). The issue is that you can only have a maximum of 88 file filters before their search box breaks. We could work around it by splitting up the file filters into more categories, but we don't want to do that just yet.

OK, Cheers Mark

Perhaps the beta includes more file types in its "All Documents" filter?
