Designer Place Image Tool

Recommended Posts

I have recently upgraded my iMac OS to Catalina. I can no longer place an image in Designer. Whether I use the Place Image Tool, which I have a very difficult time in selecting, or select Place from the file menu, I get the same result, the spinning color wheel appears for approximately 15 seconds then nothing. Is this a glitch or is there an upgrade available to correct this annoying problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no problems on my Mac. Must be a particular situation that's not working. What image type? What's the starting situation (already something on the canvas or not)?

The problem is erratic. I've found a workaround in restarting the program. It usually only needs one complete shut down & restart. When it does work I can place an image in a new or existing canvas. When it doesn't work, I can't select the tool or using <File><Place>. Thank you for your interest in this issue.
