enriqueglezni Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hi, I'm trying to export SVG files from affinity designer for use with a laser cutting program, the program reads the color of the SVG to assign different profiles: True red = cutting True Blue= Vector Engraving and greyscale= Normal engraving, I am using an RgB/8 color format with an sRGB IEC61966-2.1 Color Profile, I choose my stroke color as red (255) but when I export it, it is not exported as a true red color, it changes to a little bit of an orange, any idea why this might happen? Thanks in advance! Quote
v_kyr Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hard to tell here without seeing/inspecting an example file. - However when you open the SVG file with an text editor what red color values are written inside? Dan C Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Hi enriqueglezni, Welcome to the forums Could you please provide a copy of your Affinity file and a screenshot of your SVG export settings? Thanks in advance! Quote
enriqueglezni Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 Thanks for your replies here are the files, as well as a photo of the SVG read by the laser cutting program, now I get the red color on the main object (Alice) but not on the outer circle, even if as far as I can see both of them have the same stroke color (True Red) and parameters. Thanks in advance for your help. Alicia.afdesign Alicia.svg Quote
Old Bruce Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Weird, it is because you have the stroke set to the inside of the ellipse. Try with it set to the centre of the line, that works. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.5.7 | Affinity Photo 2.5.7 | Affinity Publisher 2.5.7 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

The laser cutting program being used is K40 Whisperer in case someone else runs into this issue. I hope you have a great day! firstdefence 1 Quote
