Kerri Lisa Posted December 22, 2019 Posted December 22, 2019 Hi, I am creating a repeat pattern with pixel layers and when I try to edit a group that is misaligned it crashes. I try duplicating the project to make my edits and when I try to export it also crashes on me. Sometimes it will crash before I can make any edits on the original or duplicate. This only crashes when working with pixel layers. See video. IMG_0851.MP4 Quote
Staff Gabe Posted January 3, 2020 Staff Posted January 3, 2020 Hi @Kerri Lisa, The video does not load. Can you try to attach it again? Can you also attach your project file if this only happens in that document? Quote
Kerri Lisa Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Does this video work? IMG_0851.MP4 Quote
Kerri Lisa Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Also this happens in EVERY project that contains a pixel layer. Quote
Staff Gabe Posted January 6, 2020 Staff Posted January 6, 2020 It has to be related to the symbol or something inside the symbol. Have you tried to create a new blank project, add a pixel layer and it crashed? Again, can you attach that project file? Quote
Staff Gabe Posted January 6, 2020 Staff Posted January 6, 2020 We need the native project file - afdesign. Quote
Kerri Lisa Posted January 6, 2020 Author Posted January 6, 2020 Please see the attached project. Vintage_Octopus_half_drop.afdesign Quote
Kerri Lisa Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 I have the same issue with both projects. The floral project crashed repeatedly on me today. Not sure how my other project became corrupted. floral_vinatge_basic_repeat_.afdesign lemons half drop.afdesign Quote
Staff Gabe Posted January 7, 2020 Staff Posted January 7, 2020 These 2 seem to be fine . What ipad model have you got? Can you attach a screen recording of your workflow using either floral_vinatge_basic_repeat_.afdesign or lemons half drop.afdesign ? Or could you re-attach Vintage_Octopus_half_drop.afdesign as the one you've attached it's corrupt. Quote
Kerri Lisa Posted January 7, 2020 Author Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) Hi Gabe, the video is me trying to open the newest duplicate of my original project. Two duplicates crash upon opening. I can only open my original. Then it crashes once I start editing my pixel layers as symbols. See video. I have an iPad Air 3rd generation. Staff Gabe Posted January 9, 2020 Staff Posted January 9, 2020 It seems to only crash on the 3GB ram iPads. I will log this with our developers. Quote

Staff Gabe Posted January 9, 2020 Staff Posted January 9, 2020 I'm afraid we don't have a workaround or an ETA at the moment. Sorry. Size-wise, it depends what you do with your designs. You should not be working with sizes larger than you need. That artwork would actually print at 2.1meters by 1.4 meters at 300DPI... I also suggest you not to work in points unless you need to. I suggest either Pixels or Physical units. Quote
