I love Affinity Publisher. But is there a way of fixing the position of the page spread during editing? At present the whole spread keeps inadvertently moving all over the place when using the mouse.

Welcome to the forums.
Generally, stuff doesn’t move around by itself so I’m not sure what you mean.
Would you be able to give some details about exactly what’s happening?
It sounds like a video would give us a good idea, maybe with some notes about what’s happening that we can’t see.

Sorry, I’ve never seen this happen and don’t know what could be causing it.
I have some guesses though:
* If you are using a laptop, have you made sure that you’re not inadvertently using the touchpad?
* If you are using a wireless/Bluetooth mouse, is there another mouse nearby which could be paired to the same receiver?
* Have you checked your mouse settings to make sure something isn’t causing the move? E.g. Scroll-wheel click/drag.
Other than those, nothing else springs to mind at the moment.

Does the page move in any particular way/direction/speed, or is it seemingly random?
The page should only move vertically completely out of the visible area when you scroll down to other pages. As far as I’ve seen, the pages never completely leave the visible area horizontally; sideways scroll always leaves some of the page showing.

What kind of mouse are you using, & with what OS (Mac or Windows)?

Hi Kelvin,

Welcome to the forums :)

It sounds like the document is panning when you click with your mouse. Please could you provide a screen-recording of the entire application window demonstrating this issue? Could you also please make sure the History Panel is visible towards the bottom right during the recording.

Thanks

C
