I've been searching for this, but nothing is relevant.

In Affinity Photo, I want to save a layer style when I use text, but I don't want to save the font. Seems like any style saved while using text saves the font with the style. That's not the desired outcome. I just want to save the effects...

Apply the style to a shape then save the style

...but is that the only way?

Make a copy of the text (so you preserve your orig), convert to curves, select a curve element, then create style. - This way needs also cumbersome steps.

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Thanks for the reply, but that's much more cumbersome. :D
