Dashed Stroke Doesn't Work

Recommended Posts

I was playing around with a file posted by another user in the forums, and happened to draw a rectangle on top of it, and then tried to set the stroke to a dashed line. It does not work, remaining a solid line stroke.

On a new document, or other documents, the dashed line stroke works as I expect. For this file (below) the problem occurs in both 1.7 and 1.8. This is the 1.7 version of the file.

Hi Walt, works for me, what happens if you change the cap to a butt.

Hi Walt,

I believe this is working, but it has a square cap, so any spacing is being blocked by the additional cap at the end of each dash making it look like a solid line. If you change the Dash Pattern to 1,2,0,0 then you will see the dash.

Thanks, @Murfee and @Sean P. Either of those works.

Sorry for thinking there was a bug, and reporting it as such. (Sean: Feel free to move this to the Questions forum if you'd like, and close the bug tracking report.)
