I located one post 2017 requesting that the Brush name be added, to each individual brush in catagory.  The only reply was >Preference, increase Tooltips.

Scrolling and hovering over the brush, to obtain name, is tedious.  If I missed a Preference settings, I would appreciate input.  If not, did I miss additional post as to why this is not possible to implement?

BTW, iPadOS has the brush name, it’s not impossible to do.

Bump.  Is it possible that everyone is satisfied with brush name not displaying?  IPadOS proves it’s possible.

yes makes sense but even more make sense to have the brush remembered and identifiable after closing or changing tool. The fact that there is "more" in the context tool bar is not enough if the name or number or whatever is visualized for the brush used.

I've tried painting in AP and I have organized a set of brushes I would use. Unfortunately, AP's brush engine doesn't cut it for me.

As a suggestion and maybe you've done this already? While trying to pick out a good brush to use out of a huge library can get boring.

I make up a brush group and add just a few of the brushes I mainly use and slowly introduce new brushes as I become familiar with the order and look of the stroke/Tip preview in the group.

I now have about 10 brushes in my set and I know exactly what they are and what they. I don't bother with their names anymore, it's all about the preview icon.

What you're requesting is valid and should be added.

Yes, you can selectively set up you Painting Category.  iPad has it right, AP?

It has been requested so many times, that it probably does not require any further comments.
For example:

Affinity Store (MSI/EXE): Affinity Suite (ADe, APh, APu) 2.5.7.2948 (Retail)
Dell OptiPlex 7060, i5-8500 3.00 GHz, 16 GB, Intel UHD Graphics 630, Dell P2417H 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605.
Dell Latitude E5570, i5-6440HQ 2.60 GHz, 8 GB, Intel HD Graphics 530, 1920 x 1080, Windows 11 Pro, Version 24H2, Build 26100.2605.
Intel NUC5PGYH, Pentium N3700 2.40 GHz, 8 GB, Intel HD Graphics, EIZO EV2456 1920 x 1200, Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H1, Build 19043.2130.

As we near 2020, I did in fact state I located a 2017 post and you posted a 2017.  I provided a screen shot of brush name available iPad Pro.  IMHO, it required “replenishment”.  If you don’t agree, please ignore, no need to replenish a 2017 post.
