Center Element irregular Shapes

Hello,

 

I am wokring on my UX project and I created these diagrams. however, I cannot center elements in the irregular shapes. The bounding box does not allow centering elements. Please watch the video. Is it a bug or how can I center elements to irregular shapes ?

It does, but only in relation to the bounding box region itself and not to the by the bounding box covered/enclosed shape. So it doesn't take the exact shape forms into account for its center alignments, instead only the circumnavigation bounding box rect.

When I select both the shape and the text then do the centering alignment as you are doing it centers it in the bounding box.  If that is what you want to center it in.

actually I want to center the text to the enclosed shape, I don't want the bounding box to take effect. Since the bounding box is a square, it does not center the element exactly in the center. Does Affinity have an option to turn off the bounding box?

Hi Boroji,
Currently there's no way to do want you want automatically or disable the bounding box for this purpose. You have to make all adjustments manually.

I am currently doing this manually because centering text with the irregular shapes is something that is necessary for my diagram designs.

Can this feature be implemented in the next Affinity Update ?
