Why does my text always do this?

Recommended Posts

It never hurts to mention the app and the operating system. Also make a document and upload it here.

Possibly a tab stop if there are no style settings apparent?

So i was going through making a test file to post. deleting everything to make it just a doc with text. As i attempted to recreate the issue having 0 +1 layers the text went back to normal. When testing it with everything up. I had the same issue.

Is it possible its tied to an asset or an artboard?

Hi @soapman I wouldn't have thought so, you can show special characters with text and this can sometimes give an indication of why text is positioned as it is, Text > Show Special Characters.

But if it's not doing it anymore it's hard to know. Glad it's fixed itself though.

Thanks or the replies. i guess it is fixed but honestly i would like to know how to fix it other than deleting everything. Sadly i cannot send the doc with what im working on legally.  I will just wait for it to happen again i guess. Which is probably soon.
