Common Feature Requests index

 

Below is a list of common requested features for which there is already a thread created. Please avoid to create new ones if your request/feedback fits in one of those threads. We consider all requests no matter if they are common (and listed here) or not. The intend of this list is to avoid unnecessary thread duplicates. If you need to create a new one, please add just ONE request per thread.

There is NOT a vote system in place.  Adding +1 to those topics will NOT affect their priority nor imply their implementation. That’s mostly dependent on time and development goals and constraints. Thanks.

GENERAL FUNCIONALITY

 

• (BOTH APPS) Option to turn tool toggling off (that is turning off the function that makes affinity return to the previous used tool when you press a tool shortcut twice)
• (BOTH APPS) Remember last used folder used for each type of action (open, save etc).
• (BOTH APPS) Custom shortcuts - Already available in Affinity Designer and Photo 1.4
• (BOTH APPS) Sticky Settings (remember tools settings) - It's being implemented/work in progress in 1.5/1.6 versions.
• (Affinity PHOTO) Macros / Actions - Already available in Affinity Photo 1.6;  still being expanded/improved
• (Affinity PHOTO) Crop to Selection
• (BOTH APPS) Hide object's bounding box - already implemented
• (Affinity PHOTO) Hide selection's marching ants (pixel selections) Already available in Affinity Photo 1.5
