dradept Posted December 16, 2019 Share Posted December 16, 2019 When I copy and paste or place an image inside a smaller area and then resize or move that image Photo will crash. Several images crash the system when I just move them around or simply rotate them. Video attached. Very frustrating. I've tried this with half a dozen images and cannot reproduce it. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently after looking at your video. dradept Posted December 16, 2019 Author Share Posted December 16, 2019 Hi Chris, Don't think that would help as the file never saves so it would not help with the history. Also this is not the only file it does this on. If I create a new file and do the same this it crashes. dradept Posted December 16, 2019 Author Share Posted December 16, 2019 I open a jpg file, do some editing such as masking, hit cmnd C, jump to the other file and hit cmnd V, as soon as I resize or move or rotate the image it crashes. Can you try the same recipe with a stock photo from the Stock Panel please? I'm really having a hard time reproducing this. Can you also attach a crash report? dradept Posted December 18, 2019 Author Share Posted December 18, 2019 So I have just done the usual delete and start again so deleted Affinity Photo from applications folder and reinstalled. Imported a large jpg file and all seemed fine, resizing and moving the image around worked fine. I mask that jpg and refine it, create a new layer with masking. Same again if I move the image, resize it or adjust in any way it seems to work OK. Until I resize so that all the handles fit into the main work area.
