Hi ACPhillips :)

Where can I get FREE assets for Designer?

Check out the resources section of the forums, as many users upload assets here for free! You can also use an advanced Google search to find more specific assets, as follows - https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Aforum.affinity.serif.com+"resources"+assets

Will ANY vector assets work?

You can turn any vector objects into Assets, but you can't import any vector files directly into the Assets Studio, this requires the .afassets format. I hope this helps!

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!

Just to try and make it a bit clearer, in case anyone else is reading this and wondering, you can add pretty-much any vector art – SVG, EPS, etc. – that you find on the web (or elsewhere) into your documents; they don’t need to be in an assets file.
Just get the SVG file – or whatever type of vector image it is – into whatever storage you have – local hard drive, etc. – and use menu “File → Place” to locate the file. Then you can place the vector image into the document with a click of the mouse.
Once it is in your document you can create an asset from it, if you want to, by using the relevant functions as explained in the Help.
