Staff Dan C Posted December 14, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 14, 2019 Hi Bruno75, Welcome to the forums Although we don't include support for these dictionaries as standard you can import your own into Affinity Publisher, please see the following FAQ for instructions on how to do this - I hope this helps! mackulienka 1 Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. adamtwar
The Czech Hunspell dictionaries (and publicly-available Hunspell dictionaries for many other languages) are licensed under GPL. https://github.com/LibreOffice/dictionaries/blob/master/cs_CZ/README_en.txt As a software vendor, you cannot distribute GPL code together with proprietary apps. I imagine licensing is the reason why Affinity does not bundle many spelling and hyphenation dictionaries. Each of them has different licensing terms and it’s quite difficult to harmonize them.
