Type on a path - white background fill

Recommended Posts

I'm making a business card and having a problem with a white back ground on a text on a path. I've chekced the fill and it's black, which is modifying the text. 1154240645_ScreenShot2019-12-12at7_49_13PM.thumb.jpg.980a9074627882703ffd3413cf51cfc4.jpg

What is causing this white fill or stroke? I don't see it anywhere as a setting for baseline or anything. I found the white fill enlarges itself if I enlarge the text so it has something to do with the text itself.

thanks!

Select all that text, then look in the Character studio panel (View > Studio > Character) where you may find that you have a white background specified:

If so, click on it, and then click on the circle with the red slash to remove it:

If you find this happening regularly, you might want to reset your defaults. After doing the above, with the text still selected, Edit > Defaults > Synchronize from Selection followed by Edit > Defaults > Save.
