Bryce Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 I'm making a business card and having a problem with a white back ground on a text on a path. I've chekced the fill and it's black, which is modifying the text. What is causing this white fill or stroke? I don't see it anywhere as a setting for baseline or anything. I found the white fill enlarges itself if I enlarge the text so it has something to do with the text itself. thanks! Quote
v_kyr Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Check if there is maybe a contour color set to white under Presentation? Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Select all that text, then look in the Character studio panel (View > Studio > Character) where you may find that you have a white background specified: If so, click on it, and then click on the circle with the red slash to remove it: If you find this happening regularly, you might want to reset your defaults. After doing the above, with the text still selected, Edit > Defaults > Synchronize from Selection followed by Edit > Defaults > Save.
