Pysan Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 For some reason when I am printing out the color black, which is C=0 M=0 Y=0 K=100 in the file, it prints out in the four colors of CMYK. I need thin sharp lines which is impossible to achieve when it uses a combination of the CMYK colors. I do not want rich black. I have read many people having this issue but I have yet to find a solution as many were trying to export out to a pdf to print. I am printing directly from the .afdesigner file. I had originally imported a file from Adobe Illustrator, copied the elements and pasted them in a new designer file and have been working on it saving it as a native affinity designer file. I have been very careful to make sure the colors are correct in the CMYK colour chooser window and have not used any default swatches. The file's colour profile is U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2, Designer is version 1.7.3 (current of this posting date), and I am printing on a Xerox Phaser 7800GX. (Which printed out fine when using adobe Illustrator.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Quote
Pysan Posted December 14, 2019 Author Posted December 14, 2019 Thank you for the quick replies. That is a shame Affinity converts to RGB for printing. Hopefully this will be corrected in a future update. Till then I will try what you suggested. Really appreciate it. Quote
