Affinity Publisher - Bildrahmen automatisch

Recommended Posts

Hallo liebes Forum,

Willkommen in den Serif Affinity Foren :)

Hello dear forum,

I'm new here and I'm not feeling very well yet. I have a "problem" with Publisher. I would like to place a photo via drap & drop, but I'm used to inDesign, that automatically creates a picture frame. I can then hide unwanted content by adjusting the frame. For publishers, I have to insert a picture frame and put an image there. The GO also but maybe a professional can tell me how to automatically take picture. You save a lot of time with many photos! Thanks in advance to you! :)

I agree, and I do not think there is an accelerator that can be used when placing images (or multiple images) to place them in a frame instead, so I will move this to the suggestions forum for it to be seen.

Also 1) Rahmen ziehen 2) Bild per Drag&Drop reinziehen.

Was denkst du von meiner Perspektive?

Also die ID-Herangehensweise.

This would be again double work. Dragging frames from the Assets and then place the image inside the frame. VCNT wants to drop an image, which is already placed in a frame. More the ID approach.

I wonder WHY Serif made the design decision to have two different ways of implementing images into a document.

But one can create different groups of pictureframes and place the images with select+shift and click the frames to load the images inside it.

This is in any case a way of inserting images, only the original "problem" remains. There are comparatively many clicks necessary to achieve the same. Here again the cross reference to inDesign, where you can drop the image by drag&drop. Result = image with individually adjustable frame.

Yeah, that bugs me a little, too. When creating a newspaper, I just pull the pictures in and then I have a frame that I can adjust immediately. Since the images are different on every page, templates or assets cannot help. Very often an image is just pulled in to see how or if it fits. That's one thing that really slows me down with publisher.
