Context sensitive fill of a selection

Recommended Posts

A feature I often use in PS and did not find in Affinity is  : make a selection - and fill it context sensitive. (sometimes alternative to the  "healing brush tool", if the selection is somewhere inside the frame).

Example: I often use the " pespective tool" resp. its counterpart in PS. Sometimes I have to go INSIDE a picture with a corner. The result is an empty triangle on one side of the frame. Then I select this with the magic wand and fill the selection "context sensitive".

(If the selected part is not too big it usually works nice.)

How can I achieve this with Affinity?

BTW in PS you can _ how to say - symmetrically warp (both corners horizonally or vertically together).

Did not find it in Affinity too.?

Hi txmx

There is an Inpainting option in the Edit|Fill... dialog. I've just tried filling a hole by using the magic wand tool and filling. It was not successful at the first attempt as the magic wand selection did not include the semi-transparent pixels. I needed to grow the selection (Select|Grow/Shrink...) by 1 pixel before filling.
