WKansepa Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) Aside from converting to curves, how do I get rid of the stroke colour after typing on a path in Publisher? Refer to attached .afpub file. Type on a path.afpub Edited December 7, 2019 by william Quote
GarryP Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 william: Are you using a Beta version of Publisher? I tried to load your document but Publisher is saying that the document has features from a later version (which sometimes means a Beta, especially as I’m using the latest release). If you’re using a Beta then you should post in the relevant Beta forum (probably more chance of getting an answer). If you’re not using a Beta then there’s a different problem. Quote
R C-R Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) Yes, it is a beta 1.8 document. EDIT: To get rid of the stroke, open the Text Frame studio panel, & in the General section, click on the Frame Stroke popup & click the "No Line Style" button. As I understand it, Garry, the beta forums are more for bug reports, not general questions. There are gray areas, of course, where one is not sure if one has found a bug or just doesn't know how the product works. And, of course, if one is discussing how something new in the beta works the beta forum is probably better. But for general questions about existing function I think the general forums are OK. But it would be more polite to provide a non-beta file there, or at least mention that the provided file is from the beta Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. WKansepa Posted December 7, 2019 Author Posted December 7, 2019 Apologies. My bad. I should have indicated right from the start that the file was saved using Beta version… Please refer to this attached file saved from Affinity Publisher 1.7.3.481. Anyway thanks to R C-R for the solution. It works!Type on a path.afpub Type on a path.afpub Quote
