Jump to object on layers list

Some files I work with contains groups of 100s of objects, what would be convenient - while clicking object on artwork layers list should jump to it. Because finding selected object on loooong list takes to much time!

In theory, I think, the auto-scroll option is supposed to handle that. At least, from what I've read here in the forums.

Personally, I've never gotten it to work.

Try

Edit > Preferences > User Interface

and tick "Show selection in Layers Panel"

Due to the fact that Boris Johnson is now our Prime Minister, punctuation, spelling and grammar will never be worried about ever again.  We now have far bigger problems to be concerned about.

Also, note the keyboard shortcut CTRL+k. This jumps to the layer of a clicked object if its not visible in the layer palette.
