Sachin Puthran
My Creative team has pointed out the following issues when porting to After Effects 1 All vector files and bitmaps fail to export when effects like shadows etc are applied to it. Also the process is long and complex. -file sizes will be larger for matching composition size requirements in after effects and in turn will be a performance issue for hardware. 2. no PDF for 1 single artboard. 3. Camera raw processing has bad results

You can open a .afdesign file in Affinity Photo, and it can contain Artboards. Or send a .afphoto file to Designer and create the Artboard. Or you can copy an Artboard from Designer and paste it into a Photo document. Or you can create an Artboard in a Photo document using a cleverly constructed macro recorded in Publisher. Talking about Affinity Photo doesn't automatically rule out having Artboards Pšenda 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.

You can certainly create a PDF from an artboard, using either File > Export or the Export Persona. Though as Pšenda mentioned it is a bit unusual to use artboards in Affinity Photo. And after artboards created with other applications, will require their export from APhoto?
