LuizP
When developing a RAW file (I have tried DNG and RW2 with same results), the images look completely different after clicking the Develop button in the Develop Persona. The image looks completely washed out. See the before and after attached. Using Windows 10, Affinity Photo version 1.7.3.481. Problem started recently, I have not changed any settings, same video card, display, color profile, etc.
Ray S.
Hi LuizP, have you checked if the develop-assistant applies (or not applies) a tone curve after developing?
Staff Chris B Posted December 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 4, 2019 Hey LuizP, welcome to the Affinity Forums. 4 hours ago, LuizP said: Problem started recently, I have not changed any settings, same video card, display, color profile, etc. Unless something changed after a software update, the app would not just change itself without a setting being modified. Could you attach a sample file so we can give this a poke, please? Staff Chris B Posted December 4, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 4, 2019 Hey LuizP, I've just had a thought—this could be an issue we've recently started to see regarding the application displaying an unmanaged view. Could you try the following for me: Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\ Rename the 1.0 folder to 1.1 Launch Affinity Photo This should safely reset the app and fix the unmanaged preview. LuizP
That is correct, Chris B. Renaming the folder to 1.1 solved the problem. To answer Ray S, no, a tone curve had not been applied. Thank you for the prompt reply. Ray S.
Staff Chris B Posted December 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 5, 2019 Ah, this is a bug that has been logged with the developers. I'm not quite sure why it is happening but I'll give the bug report a nudge.
