Developing RAW does not work - v 1.7.3.481

When developing a RAW file (I have tried DNG and RW2 with same results), the images look completely different after clicking the Develop button in the Develop Persona. The image looks completely washed out. See the before and after attached. Using Windows 10, Affinity Photo version 1.7.3.481. Problem started recently, I have not changed any settings, same video card, display, color profile, etc.

Hey LuizP, welcome to the Affinity Forums.

Unless something changed after a software update, the app would not just change itself without a setting being modified.

Could you attach a sample file so we can give this a poke, please? :)

Hey LuizP,

I've just had a thought—this could be an issue we've recently started to see regarding the application displaying an unmanaged view. Could you try the following for me:

  1. Go to %AppData%\Affinity\Photo\
  2. Rename the 1.0 folder to 1.1
  3. Launch Affinity Photo

This should safely reset the app and fix the unmanaged preview.

We have made fixes/improvements to this area (Raw files can get stuck in Unmanaged mode) of the program in the latest release.

The fixes and how to update are described in these forum posts.

We would appreciate you checking that this issue has now been resolved for you.
