SiPiCreative
Hi all, made a logo from text and it looks perfect in designer, once I export (tried eps, svg etc) it pixelates badly, tried turning the text into curves but no difference, what am I doing wrong? Just presumed text would remain vector?
Old Bruce
Do you have any adjustment or effect layers in use? Some if not all will require the text to be rasterized before export. SiPiCreative
No, it's just text, I changed one letter to curves to change the shape but that's it, I've even tried changing everything to curves but it always rasterizes, I'm baffled. SiPiCreative
Yes but it's when it's added to other programs such as photo or procreate it then rasterizes, I need it to remain vector? Am I being stupid lol
v_kyr
Looks Ok to me in different preview tools under OSX, what did you use to preview APh? - Then use some other tools to preview. Just using AP on the desktop and also Ipad, did a photo composition earlier and wanted to add my logo, could it be because the layers in AP are pixel? Also saved as both png and jpeg to use as my profile pic on Facebook and same result, badly pixelated.
Old Bruce
It still is curves, it only looks pixilated. SiPiCreative
Any way around this, I don't want my logo to look crap wherever I use it?

It's usually just the APh view which shows you things like that when you zoom in/out, since it shows everything in pixels here instead. The exported SVG file is all vectors, there isn't any raster/bitmap data inside. So every app which does show up SVG vectors should have no problem with that.
