Stock Panel not connecting

Recommended Posts

Hey taylorr52,

This is extremely difficult to diagnose, unfortunately. I don't recall seeing anyone on Windows 10 being affected by this either.

Has it ever worked? I assume you've tried rebooting the PC etc. It may also be worth trying the beta to see if that is still acting up. I'm sure I've seen posts where users on Windows 7 were saying the live version did work and the beta didn't and vice versa.

First time I experienced not connecting to stock my company's firewall was to blame. Second, if the servers of the stock company have problems / are not reachable you won't see any images.

What I do not like about the stock panel is, that always raster images are provided even when they have vector pendants. But I guess here is Serif not to blame.

Another possibility would be an installed firewall or anti-malware program that is blocking the Affinity executable from contacting those sites. But if that were happening, it's likely (though not definite) that the offers in the Welcome screen also wouldn't show up.

OK created a special rule in my Firewall and all is working fine now

Strange.

You previously said you had disabled your firewall and it did not work (?)

That special rule you created may be useful to others using Windows 10

Any chance of posting a screenshot showing that special rule?

If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
