Alex_M
Please check the attached screenshots and .afphoto file to see what I mean. This is in Affinity Photo. Why does this happen and am I doing something wrong? Ideally, I would like to use only one mask in the Group layer and add some adjustment layers in the group, but this makes the edges look strange. This doesn't happen if the mask is in each of the adjustment layers instead, but this adds unnecessary complexity and is not as flexible, because if I want to modify the mask, I have to add it again to each of the layers in the group instead of modifying just a single mask in the group layer. mask_problem.afphoto Quote Affinity Photo 2.4.2 for Windows ◾ OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 ver. 22H2 ◾ CPU: AMD Ryzen 7950X 16-core ◾ RAM: 64 GB DDR5-6400 ◾ GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Suprim X 24GB / driver 526.98 ◾ NVMe SSD Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB ◾ Monitors: 2x Eizo ColorEdge CS2420 24"

Alex_M
Hi, Sorry to bring up a 2 years old thread, but I found that this issue still exists in the latest version. Should I post a new bug report thread in the Photo Bugs found on Windows section since the bug is still there in the newest version? Any idea if this bug has been looked at? NotMyFault
By chance i just stumbled over the same bug, and reported it freshly. it got new ids. Masks on groups and nested filters get „digital“ on alpha, either 0 or 1 but no values in between. This causes the harsh edge. Unfortunately affecting all parent layer types in all apps, groups, vector layers, layer layers (which are groups under cover), artboards, page layers … Alex_M 1 Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 | Windows 10 - AMD Ryzen 9 5900x - 32 GB RAM - Nvidia GTX 1080 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps. No need to. I've bumped it on out end as it doesn't seem fixed in the latest version. Cheers! Alex_M
