Is creating animation still unvailable at the end of 2019?

Recommended Posts

I bought a license for Affinity Designer & another one for Affinity Photo thinking that they offer animating 2D like other free or paid software (eg: Krita, Blender, PS, AI etc..) and it can be replacing them in case of working with 2D drawing and animating.
With drawing 2D its really amazing and super easy, but I found that creating animation is not available in both.
Also, I found an old article asking the same question.

Is creating an animation still unavailable in affinity designer or affinity photo? or is there a real intent to make it available?
Also, is adding a skeleton like spine will be available soon?

Note: Drawing amazing 2D graphics and animating them is already available in other free software like Blender & Krita.

It is a different type of software, with very advanced requirements and UI space and UI distribution. Yes PS embeds everything in one solution, but is not often ideal.

I am not against it, though.
