Sempervivum
Hi there, when using the focus stacking feature of Affinity Photo, there are faint shadows at the edges in the result as visible in the attachment. (I lifted up the shadows a bit in order to make the effect visible better). When using Zerene there are no such shadows. However it would be easier if I could do the stacking and further optimization in AP. Can this be fixed? I know that this can be corrected in AP but the procedure is time consuming. Staff Chris B Posted December 3, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 3, 2019 Hey Sempervivum, Can you upload the source files to this Dropbox folder so we can run some comparisons, please? If you could give me a nudge once you've done it, that would be appreciated—Dropbox doesn't notify me! Sempervivum
Hi Chris, I uploaded the images. In the past sometimes the effect was stronger, however I switched to Zerene then and dropped the images. Thanks in advance for looking into! Staff Chris B Posted December 3, 2019 Staff Share Posted December 3, 2019 Hey Sempervivum, Thanks for the images. I've tried it with the app you mentioned and it doesn't seem to have the same issue, however, I had to develop the images first as it would only accept JPEG or TIFF and not a raw image. I then tried stacking the same JPEG files and still saw the issue in Affinity. I'll pop this over to the developers for you. Thanks!
